SAFE CHEMISTRY GROUPS

	Coalition for a Safe & Healthy Connecticut Safe & Healthy CT works to protect people from toxic exposures in consumer products, workplace environments, schools, homes, and low-income communities. In 2008, CSHC's advocacy helped Connecticut pass a law forbidding lead and asbestos in children's toys.
	Consumers for Dental Choice Consumers for Dental Choice aims to end the use of dental mercury amalgam in the U.S. To date, the group has helped convince more than half of America's dentists to stop the practice.
	Collaborative on Health and the Environment Group of nearly 3000 partners spreading word on links between environmental hazards and human health.
	Global Anti-Incineration Alliance (GAIA) GAIA opposes incineration (trash-to-energy plants) and landfills on an international level. The group helped prevent inclusion of incineration in the 2007 U.S. federal energy bill.
	SaferStates A coalition of nonprofits in 8 U.S. states fighting to remove toxic chemicals in common consumer products. CCEJ participates in SafeStates through our partner, Coalition for a Safe & Healthy CT.
