HARTFORD COMMUNITY ENVIRONMENTAL JUSTICE ORGANIZER

Connecticut Coalition for Environmental Justice seeks two Community Organizers, one Hartford based and one Bridgeport based, to organize and facilitate campaigns to promote and protect residents from exposures to environmental hazards in their communities.  Each Organizer will work primarily with the Hartford CCEJ President and their respective local Steering Committee, the Hartford Environmental Justice Network and the Bridgeport – Fairfield County Environmental Justice Network.  Several years of experience in grassroots community organizing, community outreach, formal community organizing training, or a degree in education or a related field is preferred.  Salary $25,000 to $33,000.  Benefits provided.  Send cover letter/resume and references to:  CCEJ, Attn:  Administrator, P.O.
