TV Recycling Prevents Toxic Dumping

Did you know that the switch to digital TV to be completed this June will send tens of millions of old TVs into retirement?  Do you know what happens to old TVs you throw away?

If not recycled properly, TVs sit in landfills emitting dangerous toxins into the environment. Where communities incinerate their trash as in Hartford, CT, electronics will put lead, mercury and other toxins in the air.
